From this month onwards, Superdrug customers will be able to choose to collect reward points on their cards or on a new smartphone app.
The new app is available on iPhone and Android, including a mirror for customers to check their reflection. Users will also be able to see how many points they have accumulated, find their nearest store and browse the retailer's latest news and offers.
The rewards scheme currently has more than 10 million members in the UK. Superdrug owner AS Watson hopes to target thes users better through the app. Matt Walburn, Marketing Director at Superdrug, said: "The app will allow us to personalise the offers for customers based on their shopping habits, making sure we are giving them the deals and promotions which are relevant and engaging." He added: "We are keen to offer the latest technology for our customers based on their shopping habits, making sure we are giving them the deals and promotions which are relevants and engaging."
Superdrug updated 200 stores last year and has plans to offer international shipping, starting by offering the service to consumers in the Republic of Ireland.
