Sephora partners with M&S to launch new UK beauty destination, Sephora at M&S

The LVMH-owned beauty retailer is teaming up with the British supermarket chain to open a new beauty destination, Sephora at M&S, in 2027, which will merge Sephora’s expertise and brand relationships with Marks & Spencer's (M&S) national presence and omnichannel platform

Sephora has announced a new “strategic partnership” with British multinational retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) to accelerate its growth in the UK and attract a fresh wave of customers.

Sephora at M&S is a new beauty destination that will blend the LVMH-owned beauty retailer’s expertise, brand relationships and focus on discovery with the UK supermarket chain’s “trusted” brand, national presence and omnichannel platform.

Sephora at M&S will launch into selected M&S stores across the UK and on the supermarket’s website from spring 2027, with the aim to build around 100 physical sites over time.

The partnership marks “the next step” in Sephora’s UK growth strategy, extending its prestige beauty experience into more communities via “the UK’s most trusted brand”, making it even more accessible, the company said in a statement.

Catherine Spindler, President of Europe & Middle East, Sephora, added: “Sephora’s ambition has always been to continually evolve how we bring our expertise in beauty to market, adapting our global model to reflect the needs and opportunities of each region.

“In the UK, this has seen us build a deliberately complementary ecosystem across our digital and app proposition, large-format ‘Temples of Beauty’, and, most recently, our curated boutique concepts that debuted in London this summer.

“Our UK launch has been such a huge success, that we wanted to go further and faster.

“Our partnership with M&S is the next evolution of this strategy, introducing a retail model that complements our existing formats and allows us to build on the strength of the Sephora brand in the UK.

“By combining our global expertise in prestige beauty with M&S’ established retail infrastructure, we are creating a more diversified and scalable model for growth, while continuing to evolve the way customers can access the Sephora experience.”

Sephora at M&S will feature a “carefully curated” mix of beauty favourites, emerging brands, and exclusive products across skin care, make-up, fragrance, hair care and body care.

Specialist beauty teams will support customers in-store, while the UK supermarket’s website will offer a broader online range with home delivery and ‘click & collect’ services from M&S stores nationwide.

The full product line-up will be confirmed closer to launch, alongside details of new-to-M&S names and selected Sephora exclusives.

M&S said the partnership with Sephora is “an important next step” in the transformation of its fashion, home and beauty business.

The retailer claims it will help offer its customers “a stronger specialist experience”, read a company statement.

John Lyttle, Managing Director, Fashion, Home & Beauty at M&S, explained: “We are transforming fashion, home and beauty at M&S, creating a better experience for our customers and building a more efficient, more profitable business.

“Our new partnership with Sephora is the next step in this transformation.

“Beauty is an important category for M&S, with the potential to attract new customers to shop with us and give existing customers the opportunity to shop with us more often.

“Our partnership with Sephora will sit at the heart of our future beauty offer, combining Sephora’s specialist expertise with the strength of the M&S brand, our store estate and our growing digital platform.

“Alongside this, we will continue investing in our own-label beauty categories where we have established strength and customer trust.”
