Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty is expanding its fragrance offering with a second eau de parfum, Rare Beginnings.
The 12-hour-wear fragrance is a customisable fruity-floral scent that is inspired by “the spirit of new beginnings”, and builds on the success of Rare Beauty’s first eau de parfum, Rare, which launched in July 2025.
Rare Beginnings Eau de Parfum opens with “bright pear nectar, blooms into lush gardenia and jasmine, and melts into warm vanilla bean that lingers on the skin”, read a statement from the brand.

It has launched alongside two new Fragrance Layering Balms – Fruity Pear and Sweet Marshmallow – so users can make the eau de parfum their own.
Fruity Pear aims to add “a fresh, juicy layer”, while Sweet Marshmallow is said to deliver “a creamy, alluring layer”, claimed the brand.
"I try to look at each day, each moment, as a new opportunity,” said Gomez.
Rare Beauty's Rare Beginnings
“There is always something beautiful ahead.
“I wanted this fragrance to capture that feeling of possibility, so bright and sweet."
Like the original Rare fragrance, this new scent has been designed with accessibility in mind.
The company worked with a group of certified hand therapists and a team of packaging engineers to create an ergonomic fragrance bottle that can be dispensed with a press of the palm, four fingers or one finger.
Rare Beginnings eau de parfum costs £72, while the two Fragrance Layering Balms retail for £18 each.
They are available to purchase exclusively at LVMH-owned beauty retailer Sephora and sephora.co.uk.
