In a beauty landscape bursting with new launches and claims of ‘clean’ formulations, few stories shine as brightly or as sincerely as that of Glowissima.

The recently launched skin care brand is the creation of Cynthia Bailey, who many will know as TV personality from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and Dana Hill Robinson, fashion and beauty veteran and founder of the long-running beauty subscription service Cocotique.

The duo, friends for over 30 years, have poured their personal passions and professional insights into a skin care brand that is as heartfelt as it is high-performance.

A friendship that glows

The story of Glowissima begins not in a lab or a boardroom, but in a long-standing friendship rooted in trust and shared dreams.

“We have always talked about doing something together,” Bailey tells Cosmetics Business

“But it was never the right time – until now.”

When Robinson approached Bailey with the idea of finally creating a skin care line, the timing aligned perfectly, and Glowissima was born.

That deep personal connection has proved essential throughout the brand-building process.

As Bailey notes: “This was business, but it was also very personal. I knew I had to have a partner who could really hold it down, especially with my schedule.”

Dana, with her fashion editorial roots at Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and a decade-plus track record of curating beauty through Cocotique, brought the right mix of passion and operational know-how.
