Puig is supporting its growth in the Americas with a new regional hub.
Slated for a January 2023 opening, the US office will be headquartered in Miami, Florida, according to the family-owned beauty and fashion company.
The Barcelona-based owner of Carolina Herrera and Paco Rabanne gained a foothold in the Americas in July when it acquired Colombian natural cosmetics brand Loto del Sur.
Puig, a minority investor in Loto del Sur since 2019, said it intended to expand the brand’s presence in Mexico and Chile, as well as bringing it to the US and Spanish markets.
The Americas isn’t the only geography in which Puig grew its presence in 2022, however.
September saw it buy a majority stake in Indian Ayurvedic brand Kama Ayurveda, with plans to grow Kama Ayurveda store numbers in India, as well as an early-2023 UK launch.
Puig also snapped up Swedish fragrance and beauty label Byredo, beating off competition from L’Oréal, which had long been fancied as the frontrunner in the tussle for Ben Gorham’s brand.
