The South Korean beauty retailer will open its debut bricks-and-mortar store, focused on personalisation and interactivity, in Pasadena, California, later this month

Olive Young, the South Korean beauty retailer, is set to open its debut store in the US on 29 May.

The bricks-and-mortar store will be located in Pasadena, California, and will offer the CJ Group-owner retailer’s K-beauty, wellness, and lifestyle goods.

The space has been designed around interactive ‘try before you buy’ experiences and personalised skin scans, as well as expert-guided ‘Skincare Lessons’ and curated trend zones.

Olive Young is also debuting a dedicated online store for US consumers.

“At Olive Young, we aim to create a space where customers can discover what works best for them – both in-store and online,” said Gaeun Kwon, CEO of Olive Young USA, who joined the business in March 2026.

“Our US debut marks an important step in bringing a more personalised and seamless beauty discovery experience to American consumers, grounded in our strengths in curation, innovation, and customer experience.”

The debut US store follows LVMH-owned beauty retailer Sephora's entering into a “strategic” omnichannel partnership with CJ Olive Young, which will debut this autumn.

The collaboration aims to deliver “cutting-edge and sought-after Korean beauty” products in dedicated zones in Sephora’s US, Canada, Hong Kong SAR and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand) stores and websites this autumn, curated by Olive Young.

More territories are set to follow in 2027, including Sephora’s UK, Middle Eastern and Australian locations.
