in-cosmetics Asia 2011 hosts major education programme
Most extensive education programme yet at the event
The organisers of in-cosmetics Asia have announced the most extensive education programme in the exhibition’s history. The event, taking place in Bangkok from the 2-4 November 2011, will feature over 50 seminars and demonstrations led by some of the industry’s most distinguished experts.
Three main components make up the free programme – the Marketing Trends Programme, The Innovation Seminars and the Innovation Zone. The aim is to provide attendees with exclusive, insightful information on the personal care ingredients industry, which can innovate and drive business.
Cathy Laporte, group marketing manager for in-cosmetics Asia, explains: “The free education programme has always been one of our most important features at the show. By providing participants with direct exposure to leading industry organisations and figures, the programme helps attendees to stay on top of sector developments. This year we have a broad range of speakers from across the globe discussing the very latest trends and we are all confident that the resources available will be more valuable than ever before.”
Marketing Trends Programme
The Marketing Trends programme is an extensive series of seminars in which industry and brand experts analyse the latest developments in the market. Tailored to the personal care market and delivering detailed facts, figures and case studies in a series of key presentations, the seminars are aimed at inspiring original and innovative marketing campaigns.
Highlights of the programme include a seminar led by Anna Ibbotson of Kline, who will be discussing Speciality Actives: Insights from the Mature Markets on 2 November at 15:45-16:30; a talk based around ‘Asia Beauty Trends – 2011 and Beyond’, headed by Yulia Fransisca of Euromonitor International, on 3 November from 10:30-11:15; and a discussion on Post Earthquake Japan - Implications for Beauty chaired by Daniel Bone from Datamonitor on 3 November from 15:45-16:30.
Other sessions include Innovative Packaging for Asian Beauty Products on 2 November from 10:30-11:15 by Arpapat Boonrod of Insight Asia; Developing Natural & Organic Cosmetics – Challenges and Opportunities with Barbara Oilioso from Organatural, also on 2 November from 14:30-15:15; Food Ingredients in Cosmetics by Judi Beerling from Organic Monitor on 3 November from 11:45-12:30; and How to Promote Your Cosmetic Brand Using Social Media with Rachit Dayal from Happy Marketer on 4 November from 13:15-14:00.
Innovation Zone
After the success of the Innovation Zone in 2010, an entire area dedicated to cutting edge products launched either at the show or up to eight months before will be featured. Companies already signed up to showcase their products include Arch Personal Care Products, Ashland, Bioland, Dow Chemical, Mibelle and Seiwa Kasei. A number of exhibitors will demonstrate their products in a series of 30-minute informative sessions, providing a unique learning opportunity for visitors to understand how they could be used in their formulations.
An interactive display entitled Beauty and the Elements, by Mintel Beauty Innovation, will offer visitors the opportunity to touch, feel and try the latest beauty products incorporating oxygen, carbon, water and other earthly elements as ingredients. Daily demonstrations will take place between 11:00-11:30 and 15:00-15:30.
Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award
in-cosmetics Asia has partnered with SPC Asia to run the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award at the event for very the first time this year. Created to recognise an original ingredient that combines innovative science and product features, entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts and winners will be announced on 3 Thursday November from 17:30-19:30 in the Marketing Trends Theatre.
Innovation Seminars
Designed to provide first-hand knowledge of the latest products to be launched, the Innovation Seminars are led by personal care experts and have an interactive format packed with information. Over 30 seminars will cover an extensive range of topics including ‘Solaveil SpeXtra - An Award Winning Solution for Complete UV Protection’ on 2 November from 10:30-11:00 by Rachel Baines of Croda Europe and a debate on ‘5 years Younger in 4 weeks – is that Possible?’ led by Barbara Obermayer of Rahn AG on 3 November from 15:45-16:15.
