Pujolasos, the wooden packaging specialist, is meeting increasing industry demand for natural and sustainable beauty packaging with its first 100% organic and compostable wooden cap.
First launched last year, the material is a fusion of wood and cork – named Woork – which combines two renewable natural materials without the use of glue or plastic.
According to Pujolasos, its innovation department worked extensively on how to offer the most eco-friendly packaging solutions as consumer concern for the environment – and scrutiny of cosmetics brands for using excessive or unsustainable packaging such as plastic – continues to grow.
Now, the company is bringing its Woork cap to the cosmetics industry at France's PCD Paris event, taking place from 29-30 January.
Founded in 1967 in Barcelona, Spain, Pujolasos specialises in creating luxury wooden caps for a wide variety of industries.
It has created packaging for a number of high end cosmetics and fragrance brands including LVMH, Rituals and Clarins.
