Profits up for recently rebranded L Brands

Third quarter earnings for the US company climbed 19%

Better numbers for L Brands – known in a previous life as Limited Brands. Third quarter earnings climbed 19%, coming in at 31 cents a share compared to 26 cents this time last year. The beauty, apparel and personal care player saw net sales of $2,171.1m, 6% up. Same-store sales were up 3%. Victoria’s Secret Stores and Victoria’s Secret Beauty saw sales accelerate 5%. Victoria’s Secret brands now contribute more than 50% of group overall revenues.
