The Pure Beauty Global Awards, launched in 2018, were brought to life with the initiative to shine a spotlight on the world’s best cosmetic brands and products.
With not long left to enter, the Pure Beauty team have been working through the hundreds of entries flying in each week and curating a prestigious judging panel who will choose this year’s winners.
The 2023 judges are compiled of an expert panel of leading figures from across the beauty world to help choose the deserving winners.
The team are pleased to introduce the judges taking on the role of deciding who wins big at the 2023 Pure Beauty Global Awards:
The A-list surgeon: Dr. Maryam Zamani
Dr. Maryam Zamani is a global leading Aesthetic Doctor and Oculoplastic Surgeon based in London with clients flying in from all over the world ranging from A-list celebrities and high profile dignitaries. With twelve years of practice and two fellowships at London’s Imperial College NHS Trust and Chelsea Westminster NHS Trust, Dr. Zamani is actively involved in medical education and training.
The award-winning hairstylist: Adam Reed
International hairdresser, industry leader and founder of ARKIVE Headcare, Adam Reed, has been bringing creative innovation and passion to his work since 1989. Across his career, Adam has launched four salons, styled stars and collaborated backstage at international fashion weeks. With his ongoing impact in the industry felt worldwide, alongside his own brand, ARKIVE, he is a global ambassador for brands such as L’Oréal Professional, GHD and The Green Salon Collective.
The natural and organic expert: Dr. Barbara Olioso
Dr. Barbara Olioso is a green chemist – she is a Doctor in Chemistry from the University of Venice, Italy based in the UK. She has 20 years experience as a cosmetic formulator and chemist developing natural and organic cosmetics and bespoke plant extracts. Barbara is known for matching scientific rigour with a real passion for modern green chemistry ingredients as well as traditional botanicals to deliver green cosmetics that work.
The fragrance fanatic: Linda Pilkington
Cheshire-born Linda Pilkington is recognised for creating one of the finest fragrance brands, Ormonde Jayne. After receiving requests from Chanel to create a “perfect scented candle”, Linda Pilkington registered her brand new niche perfume house after where she lived and her middle name. With over 20 years experience under her belt, Linda will be judging the fragrance categories.
The professional beauty pro: Chelseé Lewis
With over 25 years of experience within the beauty industry and named as one of Tatler’s best London facialists, Chelseé Lewis is the go-to skin connoisseur offering the very finest in facials and skin therapies. Her name is whispered amongst the beauty elite with her client base knowing full well it is here where they shall find luxury and zen teamed with results driven pampering.
The wellness wizard: Margo Marrone
Growing up in pre-revolution Iran, Margo’s love of all things herbal began when she was very young, on shopping trips to the bazaar with her mother, visiting the local apothecary. That love transcended into The Organic Pharmacy, launched in 2002 that has since gained a cult following with Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Tom Hanks, among many others.
The medical maestro: Dr Vincent Wong
Dr. Vincent Wong is one of the UK’s leading cosmetic doctors. He is a pioneer in advanced non-surgical cosmetic treatments and is a specialist in facial balancing and harmony. Dr. Vincent also specialises in feminisation and masculinisation of faces within the LGBTQ+ community, writing the first scientific paper on the use of non-surgical treatments on transgender patients. Known throughout the aesthetics industry for his ability to see the face in a 3-dimensional way, he has become famous for “Creating the Faces of the Future”.
