Measures the hydration level of the skin surface
The Corneometer CM 825 is the most used instrument worldwide to determine the hydration level of the skin surface, mainly the stratum corneum.
The measurement is based on capacitance mea- surement of a dielectric medium. The Corneometer CM 825 measures the change in the dielectric constant due to skin surface hydration changing the capacitance of a precision capacitor.
The hydration measurement is the basic measurement for all applications in basic research and cosmetics.
