First celebrated in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland 110 years ago, International Women’s Day has become a globally a recognised day.

Even a public holiday in Germany, the global day, which was made official by the United Nations in 1975, celebrates women’s contribution to the world and their accolades.

Its introduction has been the catalyst for beauty brands’ philanthropic and humanitarian work for women worldwide for decades, and the industry shows no signs of toppling its tower of strength for women.
