Lush has re-entered the Indian market through the launch of a new direct-to-consumer (D2C) website, lush.in.
Alongside its website launch, the British cosmetics retailer has teased a physical location too, set to open soon.
This is not the first time Lush has been available on Indian soil, having originally launched into the market in the late 1990s before electing to close just a few years later.
The brand’s return into India is facilitated by a strategic partnership with Bilberry Brands India Private Limited.
The Bengaluru-based company has entered into a licensing agreement with Lush.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be re-opening in India with the launch of lush.in and a physical store soon,” said Rowena Bird, co-founder of Lush.
“It feels wonderful to arrive right in time for the year-end festivities and celebrations.
“We are excited to be able to offer our customers in India fresh handmade cosmetics again.”
Vishal Anand, founder and CEO of Bilberry Brands India Private Limited, added: “Lush has always stood for more than just cosmetics; it is about crafting experiences, advocating for change and making sustainability genuinely accessible.
“We look forward to delivering the authentic Lush experience that is consistent worldwide, while thoughtfully embracing local relevance.
“We are also excited to build a strong community of Lush fans in India who share our values and love for fresh, effective, and fun products.”
Lush has a presence in more than 50 countries globally, with more than 850 stores worldwide.
