Lush is continuing its UK expansion with two new warehouse units in Poole, southern England, establishing its manufacturing and distribution hub.
The 103,000sqft space at Poole’s Fleets Corner Business Park comprises two warehouse units, the first of which will focus on warehousing and production, producing colour formulation for the ethical beauty brand’s global manufacturing sites.
Meanwhile the second will be dedicated to producing Lush’s oral care, make-up, lip balm and bubble bar ranges, including its popular Christmas and Halloween ranges.
With the strategically positioned units, Lush aims to strengthen its presence in the global cosmetics industry, where it operates more than 900 stores across 48 countries worldwide.
The manufacturing hub is also expected to benefit from Fleets Corner’s location situated at the front of the town’s Nuffield Industrial Estate and close to the A3049 dual carriageway, allowing convenient access to transport.
“The signing of the units at Fleets Corner Business Park is part of Lush’s strategic plan to secure the right space in the right place,” said Chase Clark, Lush’s Manufacturing Director.
“The addition of these alongside our existing presence at the park takes 66% of our Poole-based operations within Fleets Corner.
“This enables us to consolidate our manufacturing campus on the Nuffield Industrial Estate, supporting current capacity and future growth.”
The two units will join Lush’s circular recycling site, the Green Hub, which is due to open at Fleets Corner next year, bringing the brand’s total space at the estate to 275,000sqft.
