Liberty has appointed former Versace executive Alex Pregnolato as CFO, effective immediately.
Pregnolato is a veteran in the luxury retail sector, having most recently served as CFO and Head of Transformation at De Beers for the past three years.
He also held the role of CFO for Versace Americas from 2017 to 2021.
Pregnolato will play a key role in supporting Liberty’s long-term growth and strategic ambitions, with years of experience in financial strategy, transformation and operational efficiency.
"Liberty is a growing business, with incredible heritage, a powerful brand, and is an authority in retail and design," said Pregnolato.
"I am delighted to join such an iconic and well loved company at an important moment, and look forward to working with Adil and the leadership team to drive profitable growth, deliver the strategy, and contribute my personal experience in global markets and in luxury operating models."
Adil Mehboob Khan, CEO of Liberty, commented: "Alex comes from the top end of luxury and is a global asset, having worked and lived in the UK and across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
"As Liberty’s international appeal continues to grow, and our luxury brand is expanding globally, Alex brings financial and operational expertise that will help us accelerate further the business and bring Liberty magic to new customers and regions."
This news follows the news last week of Liberty promoting Lydia King to Managing Director of Retail.
