Whatever the subject, we are very much aware that the Americans and the British both have similarities and differences made intrinsically comparable because of the common ground that the English language provides. In ‘our’ world of soap and cosmetics, a comparison that is as well-known as those presented above to the layman is the legislative difference for cosmetics and toiletries between the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC 1223/2009) and the FDA regulation classifications from the 21 CFR 06/2011.
