Inaugural awards recognises top China suppliers

The first PCHi Fountain Awards honours both domestic Chinese and international developments and technologies

A new awards ceremony has been established to recognise the best suppliers to China's beauty and personal care manufacturing industry.

The inaugural PCHi Fountain Awards marked the tenth anniversary of China-based cosmetics industry trade event PCHi and took place at the close of day one of the-three day event, which runs from 21-23 February 2017.

Organiser Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions worked with experts from universities, research institutions, PCHi's Cosmetics Science & Technology Committee (CSTIC) and domestic and foreign researchers to select a total of 30 awards.

The winners were as follows:

Active Ingredients Moisturizing & Hydrating: Azelis (Shanghai); Drmax Bioscience; Guangzhou Sethic Trading Co; Bitop; Suzhou Nanohealth Biotech Company.

Active Ingredients Anti-ageing: BASF (China); Sabinsa Corporation; Solabia Group; Covestro Polymers (China); Seppic Shanghai Rep. Office.

Active Ingredients Whitening & Brightening: Inabata France; Ichimaru Pharcos.

Active Ingredients Others: Symrise Shanghai; Croda.

Functional Ingredients Emulsification & Stability: Axialys Innovations; Dow Corning (China) Holding Co; Symrise Shanghai; Wacker Chemicals (China).

Functional Ingredients Others: Axialys Innovations; Evonik.

Green/sustainable: Guangdong Longhu Sci. & Tech Company; Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology; Shanghai Zhongshi Sci. & Tech Development; Shanghai Jayu Bio-Technology.

Packaging & Machinery: Guangzhou Planck Industries; Guangzhou Sina-Ekato Chemical Machinery.

Outstanding Individual of the Year Award: Shi Yan Li, Shandong Freda Biotechnology; Gao Shan Wu, Ichimaru Pharcos; Zhang Yong, Guangzhou Flower's Song Fine Chemical.

Commenting on the awards, RSE Vice President Joe Zhou said the ceremony "has given us a golden opportunity to recognise the significant contributions made by companies and individuals in the industry".
