Harry Styles’ Pleasing has partnered with Disney on its first cross-brand collaboration.
The pop star’s gender neutral beauty and fashion line is launching a 30-piece limited edition collection with the media company inspired by its award-winning 1940s movie Fantasia.
The exclusive range will span apparel, accessories, nail polish and skin care.
This will include three limited edition nail polish sets, a “specially packaged” Hand + Nail Balm and a new flavour of Big Lip HA Moisture Balm in Buttercream.
There will also be 15 apparel pieces, including hoodies, crewnecks, button-down shirts, T-shirts and sweatpants, and a range of accessories such as tote bags.
The products are said to “celebrate three distinct sequences” from the animated movie – ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’, ‘Pastoral Symphony’ and ‘The Dance of The Hours’.
They also feature original illustrations of Disney’s Fantasia characters but “reimagined through the Pleasing lens,” read a statement from Pleasing.
“Merging Walt Disney Studios ground-breaking, multi-generational film Fantasia with Pleasing’s joyful approach to product creation and experience design creates a collaboration that honours the past, while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the present and the future,” said Pleasing CEO Shaun Kearney.
“The collaboration is about uniting the magic, emotion and artistry of Pleasing and Disney Fantasia, and sharing this beautiful convergence with today’s world.”
This is not Disney’s first beauty collaboration, having previously partnered with Charlotte Tilbury, MAC Cosmetics and Mad Beauty on exclusive collections.
As part of Pleasing’s strategy to invest in more localised experiential pop-ups, the brand is hosting two week-long pop-ups in the US to debut the collection.
The Disney Fantasia X Pleasing Shops will open in both Lake Buena Vista, Florida, and Houston, Texas, on 28 September.
It will also be available to buy at Disney’s Times Square New York, US, store on 28 September and the company’s London, UK, flagship on 29 September.
From 4 October, the collection can be purchased from pleasing.com, disneystore.com and disneystore.co.uk.
“Fantasia was always in the front of our minds at Pleasing; the aesthetics, the mood, the bold illustrations, the colours and ultimately, the epic world that Disney has created, were very much a world that resonated with Pleasing,” said Pleasing’s Creative Director Harry Lambert.
“Fantasia feels very similar in terms of its overall aesthetic and musical influence – it just felt right for us.”
Styles launched Pleasing in November 2021, focusing mainly on nail polishes and skin care, alongside branded apparel.
In September 2022 he expanded into make-up via a collaboration with Brazilian designer Marco Ribeiro, and a year later entered the fragrance space.
Pleasing further expanded its beauty offering in July this year with its debut SPF line.
