Elizabeth Arden returns to real heritage of BB creams

US cosmetics brand Elizabeth Arden has added a BB cream to its spa-inspired skin care range, Visible Difference.

Claimed to be suitable for all skin types, it comes in two tints: 101 (rose for light coloured skins) and 102 (beige for medium or dark skins), and is already available in France. “Originating in Germany for the purpose of masking surgical scars and then becoming a cult beauty phenomenon in Asia, Beauty or Blemish Balms (BB Creams) allow women to blend an array of skin care and cosmetic products into one beauty staple,” said the company’s VP of R&D, Art Pellegrino. “The new intuitive formula boasts skin smart ingredients that adapt to users’ unique skin concerns, revealing healthy looking skin. With instant and long lasting results, we’re confident it will become a key step in every skin care regimen.”

The products also contain added pigments for a natural glow; a Vitamin C derivative to combat free radicals; biomimetic peptides to protect the skin from oxidative stress, which the company says contributes to premature ageing; licorice extract to clarify the skin; and SPF30 for high level sun protection. In France, the product is priced at €26 and is exclusive to perfumery chain Nocibé. In the US, the product is available in one extra shade for darker skins.
