The streaming service is making a docuseries which will lift the lid on how the former Spice Girl has built a successful fashion and beauty empire

Netflix is creating a documentary about Victoria Beckham’s transition from pop star to fashion designer and beauty mogul.

The streaming service has begun production on an untitled docuseries series which will explore how the former Spice Girls member built her eponymous beauty and fashion empire.

“With exclusive access to Victoria, her family and those closest to her, the series explores her time in the global spotlight,” read a release from Netflix.

“The upcoming documentary promises to get up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her business and family life.”

A launch date for the programme has not been announced.

Beckham rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of best-selling female group the Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed Posh Spice.

After the band split up in 2001, the wife of English footballer David Beckham launched her fashion line seven years later, with a focus on tailored silhouettes.

The label has won several awards, including Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

Beckham then founded her namesake beauty brand in 2019 with industry veteran Sarah Creal.

Victoria Beckham Beauty launched first with a range of eye colour cosmetics, before expanding into lip, brow and face make-up.

Beckham has also teamed up with luxury beauty brand Augustinus Bader and celebrity facialist Melaine Grant on exclusive skin care collaborations.

The entrepreneur expanded her beauty empire even further in 2023 with the launch of her first-ever fragrance collection.

The show will be produced by husband David Beckham's production company Studio 99 in association with Dorothy St Pictures.

This news follows the success of Netflix’s docuseries Beckham with husband David last year.

The show, which followed Beckham’s rise to global football stardom, amassed 3.8 million viewers during its premiere week in October 2023.
