Diptyque has announced a trio of senior leadership appointments to support the brand’s next phase of growth.

Laurence Semichon (pictured), SVP of Brand since 2019, has been promoted to CEO of Diptyque globally, effective 1 July.

She will be responsible for expanding the business’s reach as a lifestyle luxury company after its “most successful year ever in 2023,” read a statement from the brand.

Nicolas Floquet, previously COO, has been named Diptyque’s Deputy CEO to support Semichon in her new role.

Semichon is delighted to steer the ship, stating: “it is a great honour for me to take on this new role at Diptyque, a brand with meaningful history and infinite potential.”

Semichon succeeds Fabienne Mauny, who has been at the helm for more than 16 years.

Mauny has been promoted to Operating Partner at Manzanita Capital, the private equity firm which owns Diptyque.

She has also been named Diptyque’s new President.

“It seemed essential to me to put in place a new leadership team, which will be able to lead the new phase of Diptyque's development,” said Mauny.

“This new governance reflects on what we have always wanted to instil – a form of continuity and recognition of the founders' project.

“But also the opportunity to give new responsibilities to those who have contributed to the development and strategic repositioning of the company.”

Chris Garek is also stepping down from his role as Operating Partner at Manzanita Capital and Chairman of the Board at Diptyque.

These leadership changes will prepare Diptyque for the future and “enable solid, profitable and sustainable growth,” said Bill Fisher, Chairman of Manzanita Capital.

There are no changes to Diptyque’s UK leadership team, with Amanda Morgan remaining the luxury fragrance brand’s UK MD.

Diptyque has recently opened two new ‘maison’ concept stores in London and Paris to help fuel its future growth.
