Diptyque has launched a limited edition candle collection in collaboration with historic Parisian roastery Café Verlet.
The Délicieuses range consists of four candles, with the scents and artwork having been inspired by the flavours and sights found in a traditional French Café.
This includes the Café candle, which features a prominent aroma of roasted coffee beans and toasted cereals.
The combination of ingredients evokes the rich smell of an espresso, according to the brand.
The Biscuit candle’s primary biscuity scent has been combined with cinnamon and patchouli, which Diptyque said creates a bright and fragrant finish.
For the Fruits Confits candle, notes of candied plum have been blended with more bitter hints of orange and patchouli.
Diptyque said the candle draws inspiration from traditional candied fruit found in the windows of Café Verlet.
Chantilly rounds off the candle collection, and is said to have a light and creamy scent evocative of whipped cream and enhanced with a subtle vanilla aroma.
“These gourmet candles by Diptyque x Café Verlet are an ode to sweetness - a gourmet escapade that celebrates the senses and the elegance of Paris,” Diptyque said in a statement.
“This unique and joyful olfactory experience is an opportunity to take time out in the warmth of a Parisian café by Diptyque - a world of delicacies to enjoy to your heart’s content.”
The café-inspired artwork was created by British illustrator Clym Evernden, who aimed to showcase the “playful side of Paris”.
Café Verlet was founded in 1880, and claims to be one of the oldest coffee houses in Paris.
