Dior has taken its first steps into baby care with its first cosmetics line for children.
The Baby Dior collection spans scent, bath and body care and includes the Bonne Étoile eau de senteur fragrance (£230).
The products are said to be formulated with ingredients suitable for babies’ delicate skin.
The Bonne Étoile scent is created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and features notes of pear, cotton wool and velvety petals.
“A protective bubble of softness” and “a delicate caress on baby’s skin” are phrases used by Dior to describe the scent made with 98% natural ingredients and without alcohol.
Also available is the La Mousse Tres Fondante cleanser (£80), said to leave a soft, protective film on the skin and leave skin clean and soft after rinsing.
The Le Lait Tres Tendre (£95) bath milk features biomimetic lipids and jojoba esters that are said to hydrate and nourish skin while preserving babies’ fragile skin barrier .
Meanwhile, the Eau Tres Fraiche cleanser (£80) features mallow extracts to soothe and revitalise skin with natural origin extracts and a single cleansing agent, according to Dior.
A selection of gift sets are also available, including stuffed toys and pyjamas.
The range is housed in pastel coloured bottles and a toile de Jouy fabric featuring animals and balloon prints, designed by Dior’s Artistic Director Cordélia de Castellane.
The luxury brand’s new range follows its original Baby Dior collection in 1967, which launched with a line of clothing and toys for children as well an eponymous eau de cologne.
