Skin care brand Dermalogica is set to open its first store in Glasgow, Scotland.
Dermalogica said it identified a ‘strong’ customer base for its products in Scotland’s largest city which solidified its decision to open a standalone store there.
A treatment space and two areas designed for skin care consultations will feature in the retail outlet, located in the Princes Square shopping centre on Buchanan Street.
Skin care therapists will provide customers with on-site treatments and home care guidance on 11 June 2022 when the store opens.
"We are delighted to be opening a Dermalogica store in Glasgow, our first in Scotland, where we can provide professional-grade skin care and treatments to our customers,” said Vanessa Burlingham, Dermalogica’s Head of Retail.
“As a city, Glasgow is a thriving shopping destination, and we look forward to welcoming customers through our doors."
The Unilever-owned brand currently has five company-owned stores across the UK and globally.
The brand also retails within an additional 77 stores in prestige outlets including Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods and John Lewis.
Staff shake-up
Dermalogica has also appointed Sally Penford as its new Sales Director for the UK and Ireland.
Penford will focus on driving growth for the brand’s professional salon, spa and media channels in her new role.
She previously served as Education Director for the past 15 years.
“I could not wish for a better lead for this than Sally Penford. She has been in the skin care business for a lifetime and knows exactly how it operates,” said Mark Hermann, General Manager of Dermalogica.
“Sally has built our industry-leading education team from scratch and now our sales team will benefit from her vast experience.
"I am looking very much forward to working with her on this journey.”
