Unilver’s CFO Graeme Pitkethly will retire from the consumer goods goliath by the end of May 2024.
He would go on to serve as Senior VP of Finance for Global Markets and CFO of Unilever Indonesia.
Unilever’s board has now begun its internal and external search for Pitkethly’s successor.
“I would like to thank Graeme for his tremendous contribution to Unilever over the last 21 years,” said Unilever CEO Alan Jope.
“As CFO, he has brought great leadership to our company and been instrumental in sharpening our strategy and driving a step-up in our operational performance.”
During his tenure Pitkethly also held roles as Executive VP and GM of the Unilever UK and Ireland business, in addition to being the Global Head of M&A and Head of Treasury.
Before joining Unilever, he served as VP of Corporate Development at telecommunications company FLAG Telecom.
“He has been a highly valued member of the board throughout the last eight years, and a strong and dynamic leader of our business,” added Unilever Chairman Nils Andersen.
Conny Braams, Chief Digital and Commercial Officer and member of the Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE), has also decided to leave Unilever in August 2023.
Braamshas served on the ULE since January 2020, and held several senior management roles including Executive VP of the Middle Europe market.
“I am very grateful for Conny’s excellent leadership of our digital, marketing and commercial agenda over the last four years, and for her impressive contribution to Unilever over three decades,” added Jope.
