MAC Cosmetics' is discontinuing its free lipstick in-store recycling initiative this month.
Until 31 March, customers can receive a free lipstick for every six make-up empties they bring back into a MAC store.
The Estée Lauder-owned make-up brand said it is ending its complimentary lipstick model to evolve its Back to MAC programme to "have greater action and impact for change".
“While the Free Lipstick Model will be discontinued, the Back To MAC recycling programme will continue to function as it always has,” Aïda Moudachirou-Rebois, Senior Vice President of MAC Global Marketing, told Cosmetics Business.
