Two HPCi Media journalists, Lucy Copp and Georgia Seago, won prestigious Johnson & Johnson Skincare Journalism Awards in London last night. Lucy Copp, News Editor, Cosmetics Business and www.cosmeticsbusiness.com, scooped the trophy for Best Trade Beauty Journalist for her article on body care, 'Skinny love', featured in the September 2014 issue of SPC, while Georgia Seago, Reporter for Cosmetics Business, was announced runner up for her 'Beauty at every age' article, which originally appeared in the January 2014 edition of Pure Beauty.
The same piece also won Georgia the award for Best New Beauty Journalist, which recognises excellence in beauty journalism among those who have been working in the industry for less than two years.
2015 was the 11th year of the Johnson & Johnson Skincare Journalism Awards and, throughout the event's history, journalists employed by HPCi Media have written several award-winning articles, including SPC editor Julia Wray, who won an award in 2013 and 2014. Former Group Editor of HPCi's Cosmetics Division and multiple winner of the Best Trade Beauty Journalist category Emma Reinhold now sits on the Johnson & Johnson Skincare Journalism Awards judging panel, while in 2012 Nadia Di Martino took home the Journalist Of The Year award for 'Beauty shows its true colours', published in ECM (now Cosmetics Business Markets).
