Swiss chemicals firm Clariant has announced the opening of a new Consumer Care Innovation Centre (CCIC) in the US.
The facility will be used to create products for consumers in the North American market.
“Intensifying our connection with customers as we strengthen our on-the-ground support is an important part of our growth strategy in North America and in expanding Clariant’s position as a thought leader in Consumer Care,” said Christian Vang, Clairant’s Global Head of Business Unit Industrial & Consumer Specialities.
Clariant has also revealed its new ReMagine concept, which will formulate products based on trends affecting US consumers.
“Over the past five years, there has been a rise in the number of skin and hair care products with convenience claims and the introduction of alternative formats has recently accelerated,” said Neslihan Utkan Clariant’s Head of Consumer Care North America.
She added that the programme will provide “inspiration and concrete solutions” in order for consumer care brands to capitalise on trends.
“The concept formulations capture consumers’ desire for easy on-the-go convenience that will help them streamline their beauty routines and be more sustainable by using less water and packaging,” added Utkan.
