Health and beauty retailer Boots has joined forces with the Navy And Armed Forces Institutes (NAAFI) to stock a range of its products on NAAFI store shelves, according to The Telegraph.
It was reported that British troops will be able to buy facial skin care products from a selection of 400 skus regularly seen in Boots' high street stores. Products on sale will include Champneys Mens Energising Face Scrub, Boots' own line No.7 Post Shave Recovery Balm and No.7 Protect & Perfect Intense Moisturiser, and Boots Botanics Men's Clay Mask. There will also be products on sale to relieve tired muscles such as cooling muscle rub and muscle bath soak.
The products are said to go on sale in Germany, before expanding to NAAFI shops in Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands, and will also include products for women and children.
The Telegraph reported that Ken Murphy, Managing Director for Boots Health and Beauty, said: “We are delighted to be working with NAAFI in offering British troops serving abroad, and their families, the continued opportunity to experience our much loved brands. This agreement further demonstrates the ongoing progress we are making in increasing the accessibility of our product brands around the world.”
It was also noted in the article that the company “insisted last night that the beauty products would help soldiers flying off to endure tough conditions such as dust-ridden Afghanistan, where temperatures can reach 130 degrees”.
