Australian tanning brand Bondi Sands has secured a retail deal with US beauty heavyweight Walgreens.
The brand will enter 7,000 stores nationwide from January as a Category Captain and has been given the responsibility of redesigning the retailer’s tanning point of sale décor.
Set to enter the retailer will be ten of the brand’s best-selling products including its Dark Foam, Light Medium Foam, Express Foam, Tan Eraser, Liquid Gold, Gradual Tanning Milk, Dark Mist and its Tanning Mitt.
Today, the brand stocks more than 30 products including award-winning self tanning foams, gradual tanning milks and a range of sunscreen oils.
Co-founders Blair James and Shaun Wilson created the brand in 2012.
Commenting on the new retail deal James said: “This significant commitment from Walgreens is a testament to the work our team has produced and the support our global partners have given us throughout the life of our brand.”
Wilson added: “Our team has worked tirelessly over the last 18 months in preparation for our entry into the US market and it is not only a proud moment for us but for Australian manufacturers and brand owners alike.”
The brand has also partnered with an entourage of well known Australian lifestyle bloggers and fitness influencers, including Tammy Hembrow, who has over nine million followers on Instagram and Steph Smith who featured on the cover of Women’s Health’s December issue.
Customers can access the brand’s products online via bondisands.co.uk and from retailers Boots, Superdrug, ASOS, Lookfantastic and Beauty Bay.
