Arden acquires licenses for Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj fragrances
Buys from Give Back Brands for undisclosed sum
Elizabeth Arden, Inc has acquired the global licenses and certain related assets for the Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj fragrance brands from Give Back Brands.
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, but the company expects the transaction to be accretive to earnings beginning in the first half of fiscal 2013. Teen popstar Bieber launched his first fragrance, Someday, in 2011 while hip hop breakthrough artist Minaj plans to launch her first scent later this year. The two brands join Elizabeth Arden’s portfolio of pre-existing celebrity fragrance brands including those by Mariah Carey and Britney Spears.
Last week, Elizabeth Arden bought licenses from New Wave Fragrances for the Ed Hardy, True Religion and BCBGMAXAZRIA fragrance brands.
