The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has announced the launch of the National Microbiome Initiative, assisted by the Microbiome Coalition (TMBC). TMBC was founded by AOBiome, a US biotechnology company and parent company of skin care brand Mother Dirt, along with six other microbiome-focused organizations: Second Genome, Whole Biome, CosmosID, Abbott Nutrition, The Mayo Clinic, and Diversigen.
