Lush has successfully challenged a trademark claim for the term ‘LushVibe’ brought forward by Chinese beauty company Enshi Qiqun E-Commerce.

The British bath bomb-maker brought forward its challenge to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in August 2025 under the brand’s intellectual property (IP) owner, Cosmetic Warriors Limited.

Following an investigation, the EUIPO ruled that a “likelihood of confusion exists” and rejected Enshi Qiqun E-Commerce’s trademark application.

A Lush spokesperson told Cosmetics Business: “It is such a bad feeling when you buy something that you think is the real thing only to find it is a fake.

“We are so proud and confident of our fresh, handmade, non-animal tested products that we put our faces on the labels.
