Brow tech to the stars and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Anastasia Soare, has shared insight into her entrepreneurial journey in her new memoir, Raising Brows: My Story of Building a Billion-Dollar Beauty Empire.
Released today (21 October), the memoir takes readers through the ‘Queen of Eyebrows’ impressive career journey, building a brand in Los Angeles, US after fleeing Communist Romania in 1989 as a young single mother.
Soare went on to create an eyebrow empire stemming from her time as an aesthetician in LA, tapping into a subcategory of beauty she felt, at the time, was underexplored.
Within eight years of moving to the US, the brow artist and brand founder set up her own salon in Beverly Hills – where she claims that her first two clients were supermodels Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford.
Now, Soare’s client list includes Rhode founder Hailey Bieber and Skims’ Kim Kardashian.
The memoir tells the story of how Soare introduced her signature golden ratio shaping method, and built her brand from its initial launch of brow essentials, including the hero Brow Pomade, to a multi-category giant known for its colour cosmetics.
Soare’s products are now stocked in over 25 countries with retail presence in Sephora, Ulta, Space NK and more.
Soare’s memoir is about more than just beauty, setting out to show entrepreneurs how to hone in on their passion to not only build a successful business, but also build the life they have dreamed of while balancing work with family life.
