Japanese AI fragrance innovation Kaorium has launched into the UK through an exclusive partnership with British luxury fragrance house Thameen London.

The scent discovery tool is being unveiled at a dedicated Thameen pop-up experience at luxury department store Selfridges in London this week.

Running from 5 to 11 June, the pop-up marks the UK premiere of Kaorium’s scent discovery technology, which aims to reimagine the fragrance selection process by combining artificial intelligence (AI), linguistic analysis and consumer emotion.

Developed in 2019 by Toshiharu Kurisu, Kaorium uses custom-built hardware and software to interpret the language and emotion individuals associate with scent.
