YSL Beauty’s ‘Abuse is Not Love’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), has launched a new report on the increase in abuse during the holiday period.
Launched on 11 December – at the close of the 16 Days of Activism global campaign and just two weeks before Christmas – the latest report from the L'Oréal-owned brand spotlights the five internal warning signs of abuse.
This includes confusion, minimisation, disconnection, emotional unease and embodied distress.
These signs show how abuse “scrambles clarity, erodes identity, and leaves scars on both mind and body”, according to a YSL Beauty statement, and affects one in three women worldwide – which is 736 million globally.

Abuse often escalates during the holiday season, Stephan Bezy, Global Brand President at YSL Beauty, told Cosmetics Business.
