YSL Beauty is chairing an international livestream today (29 November) to raise awareness of preventing intimate partner violence (IPV) in line with the UN’s 16 Days of Activism.
The L’Oréal-owned beauty brand’s roundtable discussion at Celebro Studios in London, UK, will call for urgent action to implement healthy relationships in schools and communities worldwide, with a panel featuring global experts, activists and artists.
It marks YSL Beauty reaching one million beneficiaries via its Abuse is Not Love programme – a global initiative to prevent IPV which has been running since 2020.
“YSL Beauty has continuously invested in support for those experiencing abuse, while also providing tools for those looking to become allies, with a focus on identifying and understanding the warning signs of IPV,” Juleah Love, YSL Beauty’s Global Head of Brand Corporate Engagement, told Cosmetics Business.
“But despite everything our local NGO-partners are doing on the ground, young people between 16 and 24 [years old] are the most vulnerable to experiencing this abuse, and so it is crucial to continue having these conversations.
