Yanagiya, a Japanese brand founded in 1615, has named 20-year-old movie and television actress Umika Kawashima as the face of its new hair oil brand Yanagiya Apricot Oil.
The brand is said to have signed Kawashima due to her “cute and pure image”.
Yanagiya Apricot Oil, which was launched in 2008 with a spirit of going back to the company's roots, is a non-drying oil extracted from apricot seeds, and moisturises and protects hair. Since its launch, its non-sticky and light finish and mild scent of apricot have won broad support from women, mainly in their 20s and 30s.
