The Kakadu plum, also known as gubinge or billygoat plum, is proving to be a particularly sweet spot for cosmetics at the moment.

Sourced from Australia, the green olive fruit – which is said to have 55 times more vitamin C than an orange – is cropping up in new product formulations across categories.

Alexandra Jansons, Founder and Managing Director of Oilixia Skincare, said: “Kakadu plum is one of the best natural sources of the antioxidant vitamin C and it’s also rich in phenolic acid, which gently exfoliates skin for a brighter appearance and smoother texture.
