War Paint for Men, the UK-based male make-up brand, has launched its first-ever dedicated make-up for men book.
Said to be a 'world first', i>Makeup For Men – The Manual From War Paint, published by Haynes, is packed with practical tips and information for wearing make-up to help men feel more comfortable wearing and experimenting with colour cosmetics.
With a focus on simple techniques and easy-to-follow steps, the book also includes a history of men’s make-up, a guide to tools and kits, as well as how-tos for make-up application.
“I’m so proud of this book, it’s a really personal landmark for me and I wish I’d had something like this to learn from,” said War Paint’s founder Danny Gray.
“I hope it will give guys who are new to make-up the confidence and knowledge to apply make-up that helps them feel good.
“It covers everything you need to know to get started with make-up, from the importance of SPF, to concealer tips that hide a hangover.”
The book retails for £13 and is available to purchase via the brand's website, warpaintformen.com and selected retailers.
Gray founded the brand in 2018 to end stigmas around men wearing make-up.
In a relatively short time, the brand has made a big impact in the cosmetics sector.
War Paint has embarked on a number of initiatives to tackle men’s mental health including a YouTube video with Stephen Fry and campaigns with football partner Norwich City.
