Waldencast taps Huda Beauty’s Mona Kattan to join new Creative Council

The Milk Makeup and Obagi Skincare owner has formed a new council of experts to advise on future incubations and industry trends

Beauty and wellness company Waldencast has formed a Creative Council to serve as an advisory board for future acquisitions and incubations.

Six experts who specialise in beauty, retail, design and branding make up the council, including Mona Kattan (pictured above), founder of Kayali fragrances and co-founder of Huda Beauty.

The council will work to identify macro and micro trends that could impact Waldencast’s roster of beauty companies, including Milk Makeup and Obagi Skincare

As well as focusing  on “what is next in beauty, wellness and culture” to help the business stay ahead of the curve.

"I look forward to working with this unique group of dreamers, who are at the forefront of the evolution of beauty,” said Kattan.

“And supporting Waldencast as it becomes a new titan in the beauty industry."

Other members include fragrance expert Roger Schmid; Jyothi Rao, Senior Advisor at Boston Consulting Group; and Brooke Wall, founder and Chair of The Wall Group.

As well as Of The North’s Creative Director Piers North, and Geoff Cook, Partner and Head of Growth at Base Design.

Milk Makeup’s co-founder and Chief Brand Officer Mazdack Rassi will lead the Creative Council in his newly-appointed role as Global Brand Director at Waldencast.

“In ways that benefit key stakeholders – including the brand founders, the teams and the investors.”
