The partnership’s end comes less than a month-and-a-half after Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan and Love Island USA star Huda Mustafa paired up for the make-up brand’s ‘most requested’ collaboration

Huda Kattan’s beauty brand Huda Beauty has ended its partnership with Love Island USA reality television star Huda Mustafa after just a month-and-a-half.

Huda Beauty said it made the move to end the partnership with the star over “behaviour” which it said did not “align” with its brand values, the brand wrote in a statement Instagram on 1 November.

This statement was in reference to a TikTok Live on 28 October, which featured Mustafa and her boyfriend Louis Russell – which cannot be verified by Cosmetics Business – allegedly laughing after a caller dialled in to the stream and used a racist slur.

Huda Beauty said in its statement on Instagram: “At Huda Beauty, kindness and humanity are at the heart of everything we do.

“Unfortunately, one of our recent collaborators has displayed behaviour that does not align with our values.

“We are truly disappointed by Huda Mustafa's recent live, and we take all forms of racism very seriously.

“While we do not believe her actions reflect her character, we found them deeply upsetting.

“We know that many members of our community and team were hurt and offended by these actions.

“While we valued the partnership we had with Huda, her recent behaviour, and the way the situation has been handled do not reflect our brand's principles.”

Cosmetics Business has contacted Huda Mustafa and Huda Beauty for comment.

Huda Beauty ending its partnership with Mustafa comes less than a month-and-a-half after the two paired up for Kattan’s “most requested” brand collaboration

The brand founder, who reclaimed full ownership of the business in June 2025, revealed the full details of the promotional campaign in a minute-long TikTok post on 23 September.

The video, which has now been deleted but was seen by Cosmetics Business at the time, saw Mustafa watching a tutorial for the brand’s Easy Bake setting powder before Kattan appeared in a mirror in front of her.

Mustafa then crawls through the mirror to meet Kattan in person, who shows off the brand’s recently launched Easy Bake Duo Loose Powder – first unveiled on 17 September.

Kattan has historically been politically outspoken, particularly around the genocide happening in Palestine, as concluded by Amnesty International research, as well as a UN Commission of Inquiry.

This was triggered by the 7 October 2023 attack on a music festival in Israel by Hamas-led militants, who killed more than 1,200 attendees and captured 200 hostages.

LVMH-owned beauty retailer Sephora recently looked into a social media backlash against Huda Beauty over a video posted by Kattan on the Israel-Palestinian conflict in August 2025.
