The maximum size of aerosols sent by post has increased to 500ml

UK postal service the Royal Mail has issued a revised guidance on its terms and conditions, which includes changes to aerosols that may be sent in the post to UK destinations. There are two changes. The maximum size of aerosols sent by post has increased from 350ml to 500ml, while permitted aerosols are now defined as 'toiletries and medicinal'. Previously, the specified categories were 'deodorants, body sprays, hair sprays, shaving and hair removal creams, asthma inhalers etc'.

According to the British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association (BAMA), the new rules are effective immediately and will include aerosols posted by private customers as well as by business customers.
