Discount fashion retailer The Outnet has announced it will start selling beauty products from 25 October up until Christmas.
The sister site to Net-a-Porter, The Outnet currently sells designer clothing at a discount of up to 70% online. But from 25 October until Christmas 2015, the retailer will add 18 beauty brands to its stock.
Brands due to go on sale include By Terry, Lipstick Queen, Natura Bisse, 111 Skin and REN. Products on the site will be discounted by 20-30% from standard RRP and some brands, including Natura Bisse, are creating exclusive kits and gift sets for the e-tailer.
After December, The Outnet will revert back to selling fashion only although if the scheme proves a success, this could soon change. According to reports, Andreas Sosa, Director of Global Sales at the site, said that the company was not opposed to adding a permanent beauty section.
