Beauty supplement brand Pura Collagen has been acquired by Vector Consumer Group.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Pura Collagen, founded in 2021, offers a range of supplement powders claiming to provide benefits including improving skin luminosity, aiding sleep and managing the menopause.
Products include its Glow, Sleep, Protect and Flex powders that can be added to food or drink.
The acquisition will see co-founders Jennifer Mo and Rob Knowles join Vector Consumer’s senior leadership team, as Director of Strategy and Implementation and Supply Chain & Logistics Director respectively.
Mo said she “couldn’t be more excited” for the brand’s future development.
“This union allows Pura to continue to lead the collagen category with innovation because it will now be anchored by the incredible support of the Vector Consumer infrastructure,” she said.
Vector Consumer said the acquisition will bolster its aim to become “the authoritative voice in collagen”, according to Managing Director Matt Banks-Crompton.
Vector Consumer currently owns beauty supplement brand Solv as well as Liverpool FC’s officially licensed sports nutrition and wellness supplement range targeted at the Asian market.
“It's an incredibly significant time for Vector Consumer and what we plan to offer to our industry,” Banks-Crompton said.
“The addition of Pura Collagen and its team will allow us to make further exciting acquisitions in our space.”
Although the potential acquisitions were not disclosed, it is expected they will expand Vector Consumer's skin care and home spa offering.
