Stila Cosmetics paints Panem through The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping collection

Stila Cosmetics has been named the Official Make-up Partner for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, launching a limited-edition collection ahead of the film’s highly-anticipated autumn release date.

The colour cosmetics brand is bringing the characters and story of the film, based on the book of the same name by author Suzanne Collins, to life through new formulas with collectible takes on Stila’s most loved products.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping movie arrives in cinemas on 20 November 2026, marking the sixth installment of the dystopian film franchise.

The prequel centers around character Haymitch Abernathy and his participation in the games’ 50th year, known as the Second Quarter Quell.

The collaboration between Stila and the film franchise has long been in the works, said Mary Rodrigues, Stila's CMO.

She told Cosmetics Business: “Stila Cosmetics was approached by [studio] Lionsgate as The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping book was launching; that was before the script was written or the movie was cast.  

“We are big fans of the franchise and read the book quickly to see how the story unfolded, and to see how Stila’s artistry and high-performance products could enhance the project.

“This collaboration is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and could not have come to fruition without the partnership with Lionsgate and the passion and dedication of the Stila team. 

“Every member was onboard from the very beginning, reading the book and embracing this incredible journey.”

When creating the collection, the Stila team worked closely with Lionsgate and the wider team involved in the film.
