Beauty retailer Space NK is taking in-store experiences online with a new video consultation platform.
Launched on the back of the coronavirus lockdown and the temporary closure of its 75 UK stores, customers will be able to book one-to-one consultations with Space NK experts and join group masterclasses with brands such as Dr Dennis Gross and Fresh.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Pro Artist team hosted a bookable one-to-one session with customers earlier this month, meanwhile, later this week Aromatherapy Associates will take to the retailer’s Instagram channel to recreate a Forest Bathing experience.
“With the temporary closure of our physical stores we have challenged ourselves to transfer our store experience online, integrating solutions into our dot com channel that will help us to maintain contact and connection with our customers,” said Space NK’s Chief Marketing Officer, Emma Simpson-Scott.
“This includes bookable masterclasses, virtual consultations, brand experiences and opportunities for our beauty community to come together as social connection becomes ever more important.”
Bookable appointments span across make-up, hair and skin care, and vary from 15-30 minutes.
Places for upcoming events can be secured via spacenk.com.
The maker of The Ordinary, Deciem, has also rolled out an at-home service featuring its retail consultants as has Philip Kingsley, which is offering 30-45 minutes meetings for consumers to discuss their hair and scalp concerns.
