The fourth edition of the event will take place at the Palais des Congrès in France

The fourth edition of the Skin Physiology International Meeting (SPIM) will take place from 20-21 November at the Palais des Congrès in Vichy, France.

The SPIM is a unique forum for internationally renowned scientists and young researchers from all disciplines concerned with cutaneous physiology.

The scientific programme for the fourth edition of the SPIM will cover following subjects: stem cells, genetic ageing, microbiota and immunity, growth factors and matrix

SPIM is a top-level interactive scientific forum:
It provides a forum for meetings, discussion and sharing information about the latest scientific research on skin, bringing together international experts in physiology, biology, biochemistry and dermatology.
The high quality conferences to analyse the latest information in the field of cutaneous physiology, opening up new lines of research and providing you with the opportunity to present your experiments and work; but also a special opportunity to hold discussions with other professionals from the various disciplines involved in the study of the skin, metabolic interactions and investigative methods.

The SPIM is a friendly and accessible event in the spirit of open dialogue.
Scientists of international renown alongside young researchers, from a range of scientific disciplines, can be found in a welcoming and enthusiastic environment. Highly accessible participation in terms of cost, the SPIM is organised in a spirit of open dialogue, with the desire to contribute and to advance the skin sciences.

The objective of the event is to cross-reference understanding, enhance expertise and expand the field of possibilities.

The SPIM is a personal enrichment for all.
It provides an opportunity for scientific experts to pass on expertise to younger generations and for them to present their research, offering the chance to appreciate new approaches and to discover new talent.

Finally, works from all participants will be presented during the SPIM as posters and/or oral conferences. The two best, most original and detailed of these will be rewarded by GREENTECH awards:

1. The SPIM Junior Scientist 2014
Nine junior scientists are selected and invited by the scientific committee to present original works and results during the SPIM. These young researchers are preparing a PhD or are working in post-PhD in France or French speaking Universities, within public or private research organisations.
A €15,000 prize will be rewarded to the best presentation, with the winner being named SPIM Junior Scientist 2014.

2. The Best SPIM poster 2014
All participants, junior researchers or not, can exhibit a poster during the SPIM presenting a particular topic related to research in skin physiology. Following a vote by all the SPIM particiapnts, a €4,000 prize will be given to the best poster, presented by one participant of the congress.
