Rahn has introduced a re-worked version of its active moisturiser Aquarich. Aquarich (eco) is a black oat or Avena strigosa extract, which is Ecocert certified for use in natural cosmetics. It contains water retaining substances including polysaccharides and amino acids to support the skin’s natural moisturising factor. When applied to skin, lecithin, a component of Aquarich (eco), helps support the lamellar lipid matrix of the epidermis due to its stabilising activity during the formulation of biological membranes. Aquarich (eco) also has a repairing effect on hair, showing a 43% improvement in hair surface structure at a use level of 0.2%.
The ingredient is suitable for use in natural skin, body and hair care formulations and can be incorporated into gel, emulsions, shampoos and conditioners.
