Rahn reinforces its anti-ageing portfolio
New form Rahn is Reforcyl, an active said to provide nutrition and resistance to the perturbed barrier of mature skin. The Ecocert-approved ingredient contains Gynostemma pentaphyllum to activate LXR to stimulate the synthesis of epidermal lipids, restoring the skin barrier from within, as well as Cistus incanus, which strengthens the reduced antioxidative defence system found in mature skin. Finally, glutamin re-activates the decelerated metabolism of ageing skin cells.

In vitro studies found Reforcyl to activate LXR in human primary keratinocytes and to activate key enzymes involved in epidermal lipid synthesis. Improvements in hydration, firmness, elasticity, smoothness and wrinkle depth around the eye area were confirmed in vivo.
